The book gives the first complete outline of the development of heraldry in Slovakia. It deals with the national, family, noble, burgher, municipal, guild and church heraldry in a very large chronology. At the end it informs also about modern trends in Slovak heraldry. The publication presents Slovakia as a unique "country of arms" with remarkable heraldic tradition and very lively heraldic present.
